A whole new downtown art experience.

The eyes have it. Stunning visual exhibits by Minnesota artists in storefronts throughout downtown Minneapolis’ theater and cultural district? Great idea! But now what?  We collaborated with Tom Hoch, Scott Mayer, Joan Vorderbruggen and Hennepin Theatre Trust team to refine the big idea behind one of the city’s most important downtown initiatives.

Look through any window. Spyglass handled the Made Here branding, concepting and creation of a stunning new website that is just as smart as it is beautiful. After locking on the logo and key messaging we pushed for variety and innovation. In addition to traditional art mediums, we encouraged locally-created interactive and digital artists to get in the mix. The result is a whole lot of wow across miles of city block.

Making it your own. Hey, an “R” looks like the state of Minnesota! Yes, but this is the power of brand marketing. The best ideas seem incredibly simple. But that was only part of the story. Launch events, parklots, interactive displays and a website that allows people to map their own art walk experience were also part of the plan.

Hot in the city. Thanks to A-list Minnesota corporate sponsors like Andersen Windows, and a clear marketing plan, Made Here is leaping out of the gate and putting its best foot forward. Thousands of visitors have taken the walking tour and thousands more are being exposed to Minnesota’s most talented artists every day. City planners and visitors are giving Made Here rave reviews.

100,000

Estimated people passing by the 30+ storefront art displays annually.

“Spyglass is such a great collaborating partner. Their creative thinking, marketing experience and imagination gave us the momentum we needed to get this done and begin attracting the audience we were hoping for.”
