The Spyglass Zoom-bie
Know that glazed eye look you get after a full day of videoconferencing? Well, this team-tested spin on the classic tiki drink gets you there without a single log-in. Yes, there’s a lot of booze in it. That’s kind of the point. (And yes, your family may wish there was a Mute button.) Meanwhile, you’ll be transported to one of those exotic palm-fringed beaches (not literally, because… travel restrictions) where you can kick back and start daydreaming about how you’ll keep your cup at least half full in 2021.
- 1 1/2 oz Jamaican rum
- 1 1/2 oz Puerto Rican rum
- 1 oz 151-proof rum
- 3/4 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1/2 oz passion fruit juice or nectar
- 1 teaspoon Grenadine (or more if you like it sweeter)
- 1 dash bitters
- 3/4 cup crushed ice
- 1 mint sprig, for garnish
Pour everything into a blender (like 2020 did) and push puree for 5 seconds. Transfer into your insulated SpyTumbler, add ice cubes if necessary and garnish with a mint sprig. Then log off from all calls and responsibilities and enjoy!
